Because Lucy’s House is a carefully preserved historic property located in Hudson’s wooden historic district, several house policies are in place to protect the home and its guests.

Wake up in the heart of historic Hudson inside a beautifully restored Greek Revival home built in 1837.
Walk to downtown restaurants, local shops, coffeehouses, the Hudson Clocktower, Western Reserve Academy, and the Hudson Library. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is just a short drive away.
Per insurance guidelines, children are not allowed in the home with the exception of infants that are not yet mobile (only to occupy Peacock Room on first level).
Only approved certified service dogs are allowed in the house.
In order to protect this historic property, we strictly prohibit fireplace use, smoking, cooking, and burning of candles; microwaves are provided for your heating needs. Lucy’s House is located in the wooden section of Hudson’s Historic District, placing it at a possible high risk for fire.
Unregistered guests are not allowed to stay at Lucy’s house with registered guests.
We ask that you remove your shoes upon entry in the event of inclement weather such as snow or rain. You are welcome to enjoy your food/snacks at the table on the lower level and at the lookout on the main floor. In your guestroom/bathroom, used/wet bath towels can be put in the baskets located there; there is extra toilet paper and toiletries in each room but please call if you need any additional supplies!
We have the thermostat set to 68-70 degrees for heat to ensure that the house is zoned for optimal comfort throughout the fall and winter months; AC is also zoned and set throughout the house. There are blankets provided in each room along with fans for your comfort.
Security cameras are located in the front and back of the building
We recommend you close the blinds in rooms and on front and back doors at night for privacy, especially if you are staying on the main or ground floor. Additionally, secure the courtyard gate when you exit from the front.

All linens and towels at Lucy's House are 100% organic cotton and washed using Clean People detergent, which is made with biodegradable packaging and plant-based, sustainable ingredients. The bedding is also completely cotton to provide an environmentally mindful yet comfortable sleep experience. Lucy's House also has comfort level toilets in all bathrooms, only stocked with guilt-free ecoHiny Premium Bamboo toilet paper, meaning you save at least 1 tree per year with this product and help preserve Historic Main Street's sewage system and pipes. Lucy's House bathrooms also provide organic and eco-friendly products and soaps. In Lucy's House bathrooms, also look for grab bars near toilets and showers to help contribute to a safe, worry-free environment for all abilities and ages. Cleanliness is our utmost priority and all professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We make every effort to use environmentally friendly cleaning products. Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water and Icelandic Water is provided for guests as well to support a sustainable Certified Carbon Neutral Supply Chain and their efforts to clean up our oceans.
